Job Description:

Our client, a growing craft brewery with a thriving taproom business and distribution that extends across several states, is hiring for a newly created role of Business Manager based on-site at their brewery in the Tulsa, Oklahoma region.

The ideal candidate will be an experienced manager with prior experience working in the beverage industry. If you’re someone who is looking for opportunities to grow your skillset across multiple areas - sales/distribution, people management, and overall business management – and someone who enjoys working in a family-oriented, dynamic environment (e.g., a job that is not boring nor the same routine every day), then this could be an exciting role for you. 

You will be a driven self-starter and solution-oriented, ready to take on new challenges. This role will give you the ability to have both general oversight of business management responsibilities as well as the opportunity to build and form relationships on the sales/distribution side of the business.

  • Build and execute the brewery’s sales strategy in order to grow and solidify distribution business, focusing specifically on the key and chain account relationships   
  • Implement sales plans that have been developed to grow/build business in other states and build strong partner relationships with these key/chain accounts
  • Lead and manage key team members and consultants, including managers of the taproom, production, distribution, sales and accounting; help create a collaborative culture across all departments
  • Responsible for oversight of general business systems including accounting, taxes, insurance, and contracts
  • Work with owners to manage the budget process and ensure that costs are minimized and managed effectively
  • Assist in promotion of taproom, off-site events and sponsorships, and event strategies to market brand and taproom space
  • Define, monitor, and report progress against key performance indicators (KPIs)
  • Maintain systems of reviews and accountability for all employees and managers


Job Requirements:

  • Prior management experience at a brewery and/or a beverage manufacturing facility
  • Minimum 3+ years relevant work experience in an industry where you can demonstrate management expertise (e.g. sales management and/or people management)
  • A passion for craft beer, for understanding how the brewery’s brand identity can shape and contribute successfully to the local community
Preferred Skillset:
  • 5+ years in brewery management where your management experience has been focused in either sales, operations, and/or marketing management
  • A passion for people operations and training/recruiting the right people
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field
Compensation: Base salary of 50-70K based on experience, plus a variable compensation plan TBD based on set revenue and sales goals
