Field Brewing

Assistant Brewer position at Field Brewing is responsible for executing and/or assisting in day-to-day brewery operations with strong potential to grow into a full-time brewer position. The best candidate would have as least one year of background experience in brewery operations; however, a strong desire to learn and willingness to work hard could warrant consideration with no prior experience. The assistant brewer will report directly to our Head Brewer and will be actively involved in all facets of the day-to-day operation.
 
Duties and Responsibilities
- Weigh and prepare brewing ingredients by following recipes
-Clean and sanitize all brewing, fermenting and serving vessels
-Brew a batch of beer with minimal assistance
- Perform basic testing procedures following written documentation
- Perform beer transfers and kegging
- Dispose of spent grain
- Mop, clean, and sanitize brew room, equipment, utensils
- Organize, clean and maintain walk in refrigerator
- Clean beer draft lines
- Perform minor maintenance and repairs of brewing equipment
- Assist with regular inventory recording
- Offsite or onsite tasting events
- Support beer delivery and distribution as needed.

Requirements and Qualifications
- Must be able to work independently
- Must have transportation to and from work
- Must follow recipes and procedures EXACTLY
- Must show up for scheduled shifts on time, clean, dressed and ready to work
- Communicate effectively with head brewer
- Physically fit. Must be able to lift or maneuver: grain sacks, spent grain bins, full 1⁄6 and 1⁄2 kegs
- Help other team members when needed
