Functional Overview


Procurement negotiates with partners and suppliers across the country and globe to source all of our raw ingredients and materials not only for our beer and packaging but also for all of trade marketing and sales support.

Position Overview:


As a Sourcing Manager at Anheuser-Busch, you will be responsible for leading projects that drive bottom line business impact for a wide variety of categories. As part of an internal cross functional team, you will have the opportunity to learn about all business functions, share best practices, drive stakeholder engagement, and ultimately deliver savings and cash flow. A successful candidate will have an innovative mindset, relying on analytics and strategy to deliver real business results.



Through cross-category sourcing projects, responsible for providing analytical, strategy and negotiation support to category teams.


    • Lead projects that define, develop, negotiate and contract strategic sourcing solutions that meet business requirements and enhance profitability by controlling/reducing costs, improving payment terms, and optimizing supply chain efficiencies.
    • Ensure that the decision-making process is supported by technical and functional knowledge of the category and analytical methods which encompass people, systems, processes and financial measures.
    • Efficiently deploy resources with the objective of securing and increasing a global advantage in cost of goods sold.
    • Challenge suppliers and internal customers to identify and implement innovative designs, value-add specification changes, concepts and materials.

Job Requirements:



    • Master's Degree in Business, Engineering, or equivalent preferred


Critical Skills in

    • Demonstrated ability to question, learn, and implement new findings quickly and efficiently
    • Strong analytical and Project Management skills
    • Critical thinking and problem solving mind-set exhibited through internal or external negotiations
    • Basic knowledge of finance and accounting, allowing for analysis of supplier's financial statements
    • Communicating effectively by conveying information and ideas in a clear, meaningful and timely manner
    • Ability to establish and develop collaborative working relationships


Preferred Skills

    • Data mining and data preparation experience
    • Experience in CPG industry
    • Experience and understanding of sourcing and analytics
    • Experience in being part of or managing global or geographically dispersed teams
