Job Description:

  • Brew various styles of beers accurately and efficiently following standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Filter or Transfer various styles of beer using a DE filter
  • Maintain a clean and sanitary environment throughout the brewery.
  • Ensure Four Peaks quality of standards and safety are met

Job Requirements:

Major Areas of Responsibility

  • Maintaining and Cleaning Equipment: This includes fixing valves, pump heads, steels masher, mill, brew kettle calandria, etc.
  • Keeping designated section clean: includes scrubbing of fermenters top to bottom to clean mold or residual soil.  Floors should be scrubbed, blow off buckets cleaned and gravities taken daily.
  • Brewing wort to recipe specifications and accurately maintaining brew logs.
  • Fermenter and bright beer tank cleaning:  Follow SOPs to clean and sanitize vessels.
  • Willingness to work at a very fast pace yet be precise in your daily tasks.
  • Be safety minded and read weekly newsletter
  • Filter up to 240 barrels of beer using DE filters and centrifuge.
  • Harvest yeast cleanly and be familiar with lab processes and quality control standards.
  • Partake in sensory sessions.
  • Be flexible to rotate shifts and work different hours, i.e. early mornings, late evenings, and weekends.
  • Assist other brewers on daily tasks as needed.
  • Knowledge of grundy tank and front house draft system setup.
  • Paperwork: Clear and concise documentation off all brew processes (including gravity, pH, and harvest).
  • Knowledge of each beer recipe and adherence to the brew schedule. This is imperative for distribution (ie. Kegging a beer that HAS to be distributed that same day)
  • Ability to use the forklift responsibly and efficiently (forklift training is required and can be administered on-site).

 

Job Qualifications
 
Knowledge and Skill Required
  • Two or more years of brewing experience in the production setting and/or degree from brewing school.Clean, organized and willing to learn.
  • Computer proficient.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and think through problems
  • Discipline to maintain a clean and safe work environment.
