Under general administrative direction, this senior management-level position is responsible, for managing the QA Department and its employees, who engage in the daily testing of products and data recording and results reporting; overseeing the daily monitoring and management of brewing and fermentation to ensure all products meet strict quality specifications; broad QA program management, from policy through manual, SOP and job-aid creation & implementation for the company’s Food Safety Management System; metric analysis & reporting; and planning & budgeting. The incumbent will train and ensure there is appropriate Quality Staff available to effectively support all company operations. This role will at-times involve hands-on lab work. The incumbent is responsible for real time QA communication for contract beer production and leads continuous development of laboratory methods and procedures.
