Job Description:

An opportunity to join the world’s largest consumer goods company as Consumer Insights Manager based in Melbourne.
Provide high quality research outputs and insights to marketing in order to give direction in brand plans and strategies.
What you contribute
Create and implement the research plan to reflect brand strategy
  • Co-ordination of the research agenda for the Brand Marketing team
  • Independently manages research projects, end to end (from brief through to presentation and executive summary), for both qualitative and quantitative e.g. ad testing, pack testing, brand health etc.
  • Demonstrates best practice on all areas of research planning and implementation including:

  • Ensures a proper brief is agreed prior to engaging research agencies
  • Effectively leverages existing knowledge and judgement to address business issues prior to conducting new research
  • Project management of research project in a timely, seamless manner
  • Ensures proper interpretation and operational use of research results within the business
  • Responsible for ensuring research is completed within approved budget and timing

  • Supports Strategic Insights Manager to ensure efficient use of market research, using other information to supplement understanding where relevant
  • Ensures that market/consumer knowledge is shared, understood, and acted upon within the business
  • Supports development of specialist knowledge of at least 1 marketing research topic within the group
  • Aligns to brand team and actively builds the partner relationship by attending brand team status and update meetings, managing adhoc data requests during the quarters and in the brand planning process

Job Requirements:

  • Hands-on experience with consumer segmentation, brand performance and commercial data and delivery of Portfolio strategy  Extensive knowledge of both quantitative and qualitative research methodologies

  • Experience with statistical software packages such as Espri, SPSS
  • Microsoft Office knowledge – specifically excel and powerpoint

  • Deadline driven, strong communication and presentation skills
