Position Title:

Brewing Department Manager

Job Description:

A Brewing Department Manager is responsible for managing all day-to-day brewing production which includes; brew house operations, fermentation monitoring, dry-hopping, centrifuge operation, filtration, blending, carbonation, and managing/scheduling brewing staff. The Brewing Department Manager will report to the Production Manager.

Job Requirements:

  • 5+ years of professional brewing experience in a 20,000bbl+/yr brewery
  • 2+ years of management or supervisory experience in a production brewery preferred
  • Ability to lead and develop staff
  • Ability to enforce brewery safety standards
  • Familiarity with automated process control systems
  • Strong work ethic
  • Ability to multi-task with high attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Willingness to work on rotating shift schedule (24hr. production) if needed
  • Working knowledge of pneumatic systems, industrial electricity, mechanical power, steam generation and distribution, industrial refrigeration and sanitary process piping and systems strongly preferred
  • Someone who takes initiative in addressing problems
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office

  • Maneuver 55 gallon drums between pallets safely
