Job Description:

Effingut is a microbrewery with 3 very popular taprooms in Pune, India and are expanding into Mumbai. We package our beer into kegs currently. We are a well-funded operation, and will be building a new 25 hL Brewhouse around the same area in 2018 which will produce Ciders and Meads along with Craft beers. This will be a production setup, packaging in Kegs, Bottles and Casks. We are now looking to recruit a Head of Production for both the facilities.

Key responsibilities:
•    Project manage the development of a new brewing facility and move to a new site
•    Source and negotiate the purchase of new brewing and packaging machinery
•    Manage facilities install and negotiate contracts
•    Lead brewing operations to be world class
•    Train, guide, and grow the brewing team to ensure they are efficient and well- rounded brewers
•    Create and maintain a method of continuous improvement of wort and beer quality and consistency
•    Ensure that a brewery Quality Management System is in place and adhered to
•    Manage budget for brewery operations
•    Manage production, packaging, and lab teams, processes and equipment
•    Supervise brewing and packaging schedules
•    Work with Head Brewer to formulate recipes and ensure quality of brewing processes
•    Enforce occupational health and safety standards
•    Negotiate supplier contracts
•    Manage QC process and taste panel
•    Manage accreditation processes – SALSA, HACCP etc
•    Act as an ambassador of the brewery and an industry representative
