Position Title:

Sr. R&D Product Manager

Job Description:

This position will have oversight and accountability for leadership, overall site management, process development strategy, maintenance and asset care program development, as well as performance results for the Molson Coors Canada R&D Facility. This role will work closely with the Canadian Supply Chain teams and Global R&D Team. In addition, this person will be accountable for managing and improving the production process of the R&D facility and will research, evaluate, and implement new technologies and strategies for consistently achieving high-quality prototypes for testing.
 
This role reports directly into the Director of R&D & Innovation at Molson Coors Canada.

Job Requirements:

The Responsibilities:
 
  • Lead the development and implementation of technology reliability and performance improvements in process, people, asset reliability and optimization. Ensures processes are safe, functional and validated to perform at their design capability to delivery high quality products. Plans and coordinates new packaging and product trials and capital projects for the MCC R&D facility.
  • Improve the supply chain operation through process optimization, asset improvement, and new technology development utilizing the techniques of problem solving and continuous improvement.
  • Actively seek out best practices through internal and external benchmarking.
  • Leadership, learning, and development of facility technicians, ensuring they have the training and expertise to safely operate the equipment, and report as needed to communicate the performance of the facility.
  • Develop and perfect new products, technologies, changes to current formulas, and overall process improvement.
  • Assume overall responsibility of the facility and manage its employees (up to 3).

Qualifications
The Other Qualifications:
  • University Degree, P.Eng. or equivalent is required
  • Experience in brewing process and/or Packaging Training or Engineering is preferred
  • 8-10 years within engineering (Brewing, Packaging, Distillation, or Utilities) and with 3+ years of management experience
  • Extensive experience including management of process and/or packaging engineering within brewing, distillation, reverse osmosis and/or beverage development and manufacturing is preferred
  • You love a challenge. You complete complex projects quickly and adeptly with your understanding of the business priorities. You act with appropriate urgency to various projects that require a quick turnaround in plans and strategy
