Job Description:

Craft beer is booming also in Scandinavia and Finland. Mallaskoski Brewery has close to 100 years of history, but also innovation and expansion plans for the future.

We produce a variation of different beers, biggest volume being premium pils and we specialize in dark beer both lagers and ales. We have started our barrel program last year and actively develop new recipes for both domestic- and export markets.

Mallaskoski is a family owned company, supported by one of the largest impartial alcohol importer/distributor in Finland. Currently we employ 6 persons at the brewery, 5-10 persons at the seasonal brewery tap room, with shared back office functions with the company’s distribution-, sales- and marketing organization.

Our products are currently sold in Scandinavia, UK, Baltic Countries and China
Our equipment consists of 20 HL Brewhouse, 10 x 40HL fermenters, 2 x 80 HL fermenters, Padovan Kieselguhr & platefilter, Hopgun, Meheen bottling and Cask breweries canning line.

Our slogan is “Born out of Darkness” which describes our approach to brewing and the rough nature of Finland in the winter. As a balance to this, the summers at this corner of the world are full of sun as contrast to long winters.
We are looking for an assistant head brewer to work together with our brew master in various roles at Mallaskoski

Job Requirements:

Who you are:
- A talented brewer with experience in the whole brewing process, formal brewing education seen as advantage
- You have experience in creating new recipes and barrel ageing, experience in spirits manufacturing, laboratory work and – equipment seen as advantage
- You are hard-working and self-motivated and have ability to learn quickly, enjoy working in collaboration with the rest of the team
- You are familiar to meet the customers at beer exhibitions and consumer tastings and travel to different events in Finland occasionally export clients
- A person looking for new exiting opportunities Seinäjoki – city, (western Finland) in the middle of clean finnish nature. The brewery is looking for a person to spend at least 1-2 years in Finland, hopefully longer. The company will assist with the transition
