Job Description:

Our client is a well-established and growing 35 bbl craft brewery located in downtown Dallas - the first brewery to be built in the city since the late 1800s. They brew American ales, one lager, and use their TAP™ room for experimental and fun pilot batches. With their year-over-year production doubling over the past three years, they require a Brewmaster/Operations Manager to join their talented group and work with their production team.

As a senior leader at the brewery, you will play a key role in defining both the brewhouse and the overall direction and vision of the brewery. The successful candidate must have brewing knowledge, planning, budgeting, organizational and process driven experience with a focus on training and employee development.

Job Requirements:

  • Head Brewer/Brewmaster experience
  • Certification from an accredited brewing program is desirable
  • College graduate
  • 4+ years' experience in a production brewery environment in a 30 bbl or larger brewery
  • Experience in a management role
  • A background in recipe development and quality control procedures
Technical Skills:
  • Strong mechanical and problem-solving aptitude
  • Technical and practical knowledge of all aspects of brewery operations, including but not limited to:
    • business acumen for strategic forecasting, scheduling, budgeting and efficiency metrics
    • inventory and supply chain management, including materials ordering and logistics
    • yeast management, fermentation theory/practice
    • quality control and lab procedures
    • equipment, cellaring, cleaning and maintenance best practices, SOP development and enforcement
    • working knowledge of safety and legal compliance requirements and enforcement
