Job Description:

Job Overview – Our brewery start-up is looking for a Tap Room Manager to focus on managing the Sibling Revelry Brewing Tap Room and growing our business through cultivating relationships with our customers and vendors. 

About Us – The Sibling Revelry Brewing tap room consists of a 75 seat (max capacity) draft beer only (including growlers) service for our growing craft brewery.  The ideal candidate will be flexible with both hours and job description while we find our rhythm as an organization.  This is a ground-level opportunity and we expect the person who fills this position to grow with our company. 

Primary duties include but are not limited to the following:
  • Ensuring the guest experience - Visiting tables, engaging the guest, rectifying any problems
  • Staff management - including interviewing, scheduling, discipline, and terminations as needed
  • Bartending & maintaining bar cleanliness/organization
  • Supply ordering - glassware, linens, merchandise, etc.
  • Food truck scheduling
  • Special event/private party coordination – obtain permits, schedule security, valet, etc.
  • Reply to Contact Us inquiries
  • Staff training (such as pouring techniques and beer knowledge)
  • Conducting brewery tours
  • LAVU Point of Sale administration and reporting
  • SOP development - identify and implement changes to procedures
  • Participating in events/promotions/festivals

Job Requirements:

Required Skills and Experience
  • At least two years of relevant restaurant/bar experience is a must.  Demonstrated experience in a shift or bar management role required.
  • Basic familiarity with office productivity software (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
  • Ability to manage people, resolve conflicts, recognize extra effort/results.
  • Ability to responsibly manage money and troubleshoot mis-matches.  
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize in an exciting, fast-paced, and ever-changing landscape.
  • Familiarity with beer styles and brewing process – SRB specific training will be provided.
  • Appreciation for all styles of beer (even those not preferred by the candidate).
  • “On call” for all hours the tap room is open - even if it is an off day.
  • Attention to detail (clean, clean, clean).
  • Strong communication skills - both in person, in writing, and over the phone - including the ability to relate to and communicate with different departments, ownership and personalities.
  • Well-groomed personal appearance.
  • Availability to work evenings and weekends.
